2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the App's core features (Food Snap, Body Snap, AI Coach)
- Calculate your Aithos Index™ score, FFMI, and personalized recommendations
- Generate AI-powered nutrition and fitness coaching responses
- Track your progress, streaks, and history over time
- Process subscription payments through Apple's In-App Purchase system
- Send you notifications related to your account activity (streak reminders, progress updates)
- Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Comply with legal obligations
3. How Your Photos Are Processed
When you use Food Snap or Body Snap:
- Your photo is sent securely to our AI processing systems (powered by Anthropic's Claude API) for analysis
- The AI identifies food items or analyzes physique characteristics to generate your results
- Photos are processed for the sole purpose of generating your scan results and are not used to train third-party AI models
- You may delete individual scan photos at any time from within the App
4. Data Sharing and Third Parties
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data only with the following categories of service providers, solely to operate the App:
- Firebase (Google): authentication, database storage, and cloud infrastructure
- Anthropic: AI-powered image analysis and coaching responses
- USDA FoodData Central: nutrition data lookups
- Apple: subscription and payment processing through In-App Purchase
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our legal rights, or to protect the safety of our users.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Firebase's cloud infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. - Delete your account and associated data at any time through Profile → Settings → Delete Account

- Opt out of non-essential push notifications through your device settings
Upon account deletion, your personal data, scan history, and chat history will be permanently removed from our active systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Children's Privacy
AithosAI is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

9. International Users
AithosAI is operated from Canada. If you are accessing the App from outside Canada, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Canada or other countries where our service providers operate.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Continued use of AithosAI after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
